Helen Hamlyn Award

A special award for creativity across all disciplines, personally made by Helen Hamlyn, whose Trust has endowed the Helen Hamlyn Centre. Helen Hamlyn graduated as a fashion designer from the Royal College of Art in the mid-1950s and worked as head designer for Cresta Silks and Debenhams. Since the mid-1980s she has promoted better design for older people through her extensive charitable work. Helen is a Senior Fellow of the RCA.
