Notices about Include 2011 were posted on Twitter and Linked In . The programme focused on social innovation derived from inclusive design and discussed, debated and explored this in the following sessions:
BT Business Breakfasts
Issues in inclusive design were debated by invited speakers. Audience participation was encouraged.
Workshops and seminars
Workshops and seminars were delivered by professional designers and academic research groups that wereinvited by the Include 2011 Committee.
Paper sessions
Paper sessions, each comprising of 4-6 papers that are 12-15 minutes long, were delivered by oral presentation. All accepted papers for podium presentation have been published in the on-line Include 2011 conference proceedings. Abstracts of papers have been published in the Include 2011 conference book of abstracts.
Poster sessions
Poster sessions comprised of authors presenting posters in relaxed and informal break-out sessions over two days. All accepted papers for poster presentation have been published in the on-line Include 2011 conference proceedings. Abstracts of posters have been published in the Include 2011 conference book of abstracts.
Submission
Call for papers has now closed. Deadline for submission of 'camera-ready' papers was 31 January 2011.
In addition to discussion and debate, Include 2011 included a number of sessions for networking and socialising including:
24 Hour Inclusive Design Challenge presentations evening
On Tuesday 19 April, the 24 Hour Inclusive Design Challenge announced the winners after the teams presented their projects. There will be a drinks reception afterwards.
