  • All papers are blind reviewed.
  • Do not include name(s) of author(s), affiliation(s) or email addresses on the paper for the first review process.
  • The conference theme is The Role of Inclusive Design in Making Social Innovation Happen. Please ensure that your paper addresses this theme.
  • All accepted papers will be published in the on-line proceedings.

Editing and appearance

  • The conference language is English.
  • Papers should be written in a clear style and all presentations will be made in English. Papers should be previously unpublished.
  • Responsibility for the content and appearance of papers is entirely with the authors.
  • The organisers will not be able to edit or proofread submissions, or modify the overall appearance or position of images.

Format and template
Use this Microsoft Word template and text styles given below for your Include 2011 submission(s) and follow these instructions carefully.

There are 2 forms of paper authors can submit:

1. Full academic papers: Papers describing academic design research should not exceed 10 pages (including images, diagrams, illustrations and tables).

2. Design Stories: Submissions by practicing designers are encouraged in the shorter Design Story format. This should not exceed 5 pages and outline the design process and outcome.

Template and style guide

  • Font: Arial
  • No italics (except for names of publications) to be used in body text, captions or references
  • Avoid use of capitals and underlining, use bold text instead
  • Body text: range left, unjustified

Diagrams, illustrations, tables etc
Please submit your paper as a PDF with all images, illustrations and tables embedded within the text.

Footnotes
Footnotes should not be used in any part of the paper. Please use numbered references at the end of the paper.

Deadline for submissions: 15 October 2010

Submissions will be accepted online from 6 September 2010
