The Helen Hamlyn Design Awards is an open competition that rewards creativity in people-centred design across all disciplines. Nominated projects are on display at the annual RCA Graduation Shows.
Awards are given in each of the Helen Hamlyn Centre's three research labs - Age & Ablility, Work & City and Health & Patient Safety. There is also a special overall prize given personally by Helen Hamlyn.
Entrants are nominated by Royal College of Art professors and heads of department.
Judging this year took place on Friday 22 June 2012 and the Awards presentation was held in the Senior Common Room at the RCA at 4.00pm on Tuesday 26 June 2012.
