Helen Hamlyn Research Associates 2009

Eleven new design graduates of the Royal College of Art from five RCA departments worked on the Helen Hamlyn Research Associates Programme 2009. They carried out on collaborative projects co-funded by a range of industry partners and the Helen Hamlyn Trust.

Their task was to develop live industry projects investigated new thinking, products and services in relation to inclusive design, design for patient safety and workplace design - the three core research themes of the Helen Hamlyn Centre.

They presented their projects at a work-in-progress seminar as part of the Include 2009 conference at the RCA in April 2009 and a symposium and exhibition entitled CLOSEUP in September 2009, as part of the London Design Festival.
